Alaska Airlines goes green

I thought I might share this green holiday greeting that I received from Alaska Airlines:

“Thank you for flying with us this year. As a gesture of
our appreciation, we have donated 1,000,000 miles
to The Nature Conservancy, a non-profit organization
dedicated to leaving a sustainable world for future
generations.

Being green, however, extends beyond holiday giving at
Alaska Airlines. Our inflight recycling diverts 300 tons of
waste from landfills each year; we recently launched 75
commercial flights using biofuel, in support of alternative
energy; and, as you can see, our traditional holiday card has
been replaced with this environmentally friendly e-card.

Wishing you happy holidays and a green New Year!”

Way to go, Alaska Airlines!
